The compliment, though, earns a warm smile from Scott, genuine and bright. He hasn't really thought about it before, even when he and Jean skirted around the topic of settling down. I didn't expect to be a grandfather twice over at my age, but all kinds of wonderfully bizarre things are happening here.
[ Charles was an old man at a young age though. He's hardly representative of his true age, when he's acted like a parent since he was a teenager. Now he just happens to be one for real.
